John Krasinski Convinced Emily Blunt To Return For 'Quiet Place II' By Doing This
John Krasinski waves to fans while arriving for his appearance on Late Show with Stephen Colbert in New York City on Monday night (March 9).
The 40-year-old actor is promoting his new film, Quiet Place II, which just held its’ premiere the night before.
Speaking with E! News, John opened up about returning for the sequel, something he said he wasn’t going to do, and how he convinced wife Emily Blunt to return, too.
“[Emily] was really kind to realize that I wasn’t going to do a sequel either, I told the studio that I didn’t want to do it, I didn’t want to write and direct the next one because the first one was so incredibly personal,” John shared. “[It was] so incredibly organic to who I was and me as a parent and so when I thought of this new idea and she said ‘Why don’t you write it?’”
He added, “[She said] ‘If I see that you’re in love with it as much as you were with the first one, I’ll do it. So she read the script and said I’m in.”
If you missed it, John was gushing and praising Emily in another interview. See what he said here!
FYI: John wore Dolce&Gabbana and a IWC Schaffhausen watch.
