'Saturday Night Live' Will Return With Original Content This Week!

Saturday Night Live is returning to NBC on Saturday (April 11), although the details are still being sorted out.

The long-running sketch comedy show will return amid the global health crisis with an original telecast that will include Weekend Update, Deadline confirmed on Thursday (April 9).

“All of it will be produced remotely as the show, along with all other TV programs, practices social distancing. While sketches involving multiple performers are hard to pull off in time of social distancing, Weekend Update, hosted by Colin Jost and Michael Che, had been considered a strong contender to return on the air,” the report reads.

It should be noted that Michael also just lost his grandmother due to coronavirus.
