Tom Brady Cited for Working Out in a Closed Tampa Park
The Mayor of Tampa Bay, Florida says that Tom Brady was cited after he was spotted working out in a park that is closed due to the pandemic.
The 42-year-old football player recently signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he’s not going to get any special privileges from the city.
Mayor Jane Castor says that one of the park’s staff members “saw an individual working out in one of our downtown parks. She went over to tell him it was closed, and it was Tom Brady.”
“He has been cited,” Castor said, though it’s not clear if he actually received a ticket.
Parks in Tampa were closed on April 17 and will remain closed through the end of the month.
Sorry @TomBrady! Our @tampaparksrec team can’t wait to welcome you and our entire community back with even bigger smiles — until then, stay safe and stay home as much as you can to help flatten the curve. https://t.co/qRhReqqdK0
