Netflix's 'Fatal Affair' - Fans React to the Ending (Spoilers)

Netflix’s latest movie to be released is the thriller Fatal Affair, which reunites frequent co-stars Nia Long and Omar Epps.

The film follows Ellie (Long) as she tries to mend her marriage with her husband Marcus (Stephen Bishop) after a brief encounter with an old friend, David (Epps), only to find that David is more dangerous and unstable than she’d realized.

Fatal Affair isn’t getting the best reviews from critics as it currently has a 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but there are already a lot of fans on social media who are loving the film and comparing it to the Lifetime and Hallmark thrillers that they enjoy.

We’ve gotta discuss that crazy ending and we’ve gathered a lot of reactions to what happened. People don’t seem too satisfied based on the tweets we’ve seen so far.

At the beginning of the movie we see a woman having an intimate evening with a man, but then she discovers him dead in the bathtub and we see her get abducted by an intruder.

Later in the film we find out that the woman is David’s ex-wife and the man is her new boyfriend.

After terrorizing Ellie and all the people close to her, David fakes his own death and admits to the murder of his ex-wife and her new man. He’s obviously not dead though and two months later, he shows up at Ellie’s home on the night before Thanksgiving in hopes of finally getting the chance to be with her.

A showdown happens between David, Ellie, and Marcus and it ends with David slipping off the side of a cliff. As he’s falling, Ellie tries to save him, but he falls to the beach and seemingly is dead… or is he?!
