Kanye West's Yeezy Clothing Brand Suing Former Intern for Breaching NDA

Kanye West‘s clothing brand Yeezy is suing one of its former interns for breaching a non-disclosure agreement.

The former intern, Ryan Inwards, allegedly shared confidential Yeezy photos on his Instagram account, according to a complaint filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday (January 15), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ryan, who reportedly interned for Yeezy from February 2020 to summer 2020, signed an NDA that included a $500,000 liquidated damages provision. By signing the agreement, Ryan would have agreed to not share any confidential Yeezy information on social media. Yeezy claims that Ryan breached the contract by sharing photos on his Instagram.

Ryan has since deleted his Instagram account.

The complaint also claims that despite multiple cease and desist letters, Ryan continued to “publicly post Unauthorized Materials on social media sites.”

Yeezy is seeking punitive damages, claiming Ryan acted maliciously, in addition to the $500,000 for breach of contract.
