Pentagon Under Lockdown After 'Shooting Event' Occurs

The Pentagon is currently locked down after a “shooting event” happened outside the building on the Metro Bus platform, used by thousands of visitors a day.

If you don’t know, the Pentagon is located in Washington, DC and is the headquarter of the United States Department of Defense.

A statement was just released by the Pentagon Force Protection Agency.

“Right now, we’ve just confirmed that the Pentagon is on lockdown. There is an incident at the Pentagon transit center,” Pentagon Force Protection Agency spokesman Chris Layman said to CNN. He added that the “incident is ongoing.”

EMS and first responders say they “did encounter multiple patients,” but no details on what actually occurred have been released at this time.
