The dramatic first trailer for the upcoming movie Mass has been released.

Ann Dowd, Martha Plimpton, Jason Isaacs, and Reed Birney star in the upcoming movie written and directed by Franz Kranz, that is already generating a lot of Oscars buzz.

Here’s the synopsis for Mass: “Years after an unspeakable tragedy tore their lives apart, two sets of parents (Isaacs & Plimpton and Birney & Dowd) agree to talk privately in an attempt to move forward. In Fran Kranz’ writing and directing debut, he thoughtfully examines their journey of grief, anger and acceptance by coming face-to-face with the ones who have been left behind,” according to Bleecker Street.

If you missed it, Netflix released the trailer for their new movie The Starling, which Ann appears in alongside Melissa McCarthy and Chris O’Dowd.

Mass will be released on October 8th.
