Reba McEntire Weighs In on Kelly Clarkson's Divorce from Former Stepson Brandon Blackstock

Reba McEntire is staying neutral.

In a new interview, the 65-year-old country music superstar weighed in on good pal Kelly Clarkson divorcing her former stepson Brandon Blackstock.

“You know, I love them both. Brandon’s my stepson, Kelly’s my good friend,” Reba shared with Extra. “I am pulling for both of them. I hope they’re happy and healthy and pull though this.”

If you didn’t know, Reba was married to Brandon‘s dad, Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 to 2015. Previously, she was married to Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987.

Even though she’s no long with Narvel, she still considers Brandon family.

“I pray everyone gives them the encouragement that they can because they need it right now, both of them do,” Reba added. “I love them both with all my heart.”

After seven years of marriage, Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon back in June of 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. The two have been locked into disputes throughout the divorce proceedings ever since, and Kelly recently celebrated her prenup being honored by a judge.

There were also headlines about the amount of money Brandon was making from spousal support payments.
