Tyga Arrested, Charged With Felony Domestic Violence

Tyga is under arrest.

The 31-year-old entertainer was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge amid allegations of abuse from his ex-girlfriend, 22-year-old model Camaryn Swanson, Page Six reported.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood division confirmed the arrest on social media. He is being held on $50,000 bail, via the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s inmate information center. He also turned himself in on Tuesday (October 12) after refusing to speak with police one day before at his home.

A source close to Tyga told TMZ that Camaryn showed up at his house “shouting” on his doorstep, and the situation escalated once he let her inside the home. She filed a police report after leaving the rapper’s house, where the alleged incident took place.

“I didn’t show up ‘screaming’ or uninvited. When I tried to leave he physically assaulted [me] and refused to let me leave for hours,” she wrote on her Instagram Story, along with photos of alleged injuries inflicted by Tyga.

“I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself,” she also wrote.

The two first appeared together on social media earlier in the year, and by July, she had been spotted with a ring on her left hand.

Earlier in the summer, Tyga was spotted in the crowd at a star-studded event.
