The 53-year-old Tony Award-winning Broadway star confirmed the happy news on Friday (October 29) to Vogue, and the proposal included a little bit of Broadway as well.

The 39-year-old musician proposed on the rooftop of the Rainbow Room in New York City on Wednesday night (October 27) after a day of doing fun things in the city, including walking around Broadway.

“I’ve been the runaway bride. Now that I’ve found him, I won’t let him go. I will race to greet him at the altar,” she told Vogue.

Josh proposed with a De Beers Forevermark three-stone halo ring designed by Rahaminov, featuring a trio of oval diamonds, set in 18k white gold.

“My best friend and soulmate said ‘YES’ to me! Kristin is my world, my everything, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her!” he said.

The two first met at Kristin’s niece’s wedding in 2016, and then again in 2018 at her nephew’s wedding. Josh was playing in a band that performed at both weddings, called Backroad Anthem. They began dating in August of 2018.
