Kirsten Dunst Reveals 'Extreme' Pay Gap Between Her & Tobey Maguire for 'Spider-Man'

Kirsten Dunst is getting candid about pay.

The 39-year-old actress opened up in an interview with The Independent about her pay compared to Spider-Man co-star Tobey Maguire.

During the conversation, she revealed that the two stars had a big difference in their compensation for the 2002 film.

“The pay disparity between me and Spider-Man was very extreme,” she revealed.

“I didn’t even think about it. I was just like, ‘Oh yeah, Tobey [Maguire] is playing Spider-Man,’” she said.

The first Spider-Man brought in $821 million, while 2004′s Spider-Man 2 took in $789 million, via the outlet.

“But you know who was on the cover of the second Spider-Man poster? Spider-Man and ME,” she went on to say.

Although her last appearance in the franchise was the 2007 third film, she said to Variety she’d be up to reprise her role.

“I would do it. Why not? That would be fun. I would never say no to something like that … I’d be old MJ at this point with little Spidey babies.”
