MRC first made the claim in 2019 and alleged that his firing from the Netflix show cost the company tens of millions in producing fees and lost revenue.

Additionally, the company said that they were forced to scrap the first two episodes that featured Kevin and rewrite the entire season, adding substantial costs to the show.

Kevin exited the series back in 2017 in the wake of sexual assault allegations from actor Anthony Rapp. Others came forward with their own allegations, including crew members from House of Cards.

MRC added that it had to reduce the number of episodes, as it would have been unable to meet its deadlines with the streamer. Subsequently, license-fee revenues the company was expecting from Netflix were significantly reduced.

Kevin alleged in a counterclaim that it was his agreement that had been breached, adding that the sexual harassment and misconduct allegations he faced did not constitute a breach of his contracts. The arbitrator rejected his claims.
