Comedian Heather McDonald Collapses on Stage

Heather McDonald is being hospitalized.

The 51-year-old comedian and Chelsea Lately alum fell during a show in Tempe, Arizona, and it was deemed a medical emergency via TMZ.

According to attendees, she had just told a joke, saying: “I’m vaxxed, double vaxxed, boosted…and flu shot and shingle shot and haven’t gotten COVID and Jesus loves me most.”

Upon saying the joke, she collapsed and hit her head on the floor. An EMT and a nurse were reportedly in the audience, rushing up to provide care. A 911 call came in as a seizure, but the specific cause is not yet known.

Heather later told the outlet she felt somewhat dizzy when she was on stage and then just collapsed, and that is hasn’t happened before. She added that her sister-in-law, who was in the audience, took her to the hospital.

After scans and testing, she says it’s still not clear what caused her to faint, but her head really hurts and she’s very tired. She also clarified that she never had COVID and, as she said in her set, she’s fully vaccinated and boosted.
