Mark Wahlberg Reveals What He Thinks of Daughter Ella's Boyfriend

Mark Wahlberg is sharing his true thoughts of his 18-year-old daughter Ella‘s boyfriend of one year, James Stuart.

The 50-year-old Uncharted actor opened up during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which aired on Thursday (February 17).

Ellen asked if James is intimidated by him and he had an interesting response!

“I think he’s more scared of my daughter than he is of me. I pray for him more than I pray for her in that relationship,” Mark said. “They’re perfect for each other and he couldn’t be any sweeter. I realized earlier on it’s inevitable and as long as it’s someone who’s nice and treats her well and it’s somebody who I can trust and respect. We have a great relationship. He’s fantastic. I hope she can keep him.”

James even joined Mark and his family on their recent vacation!

“He went on the holiday! So now he’s like the man of the house,” Mark joked. “I’m stuck. And I’m like, ‘Wait a second!’ This guy slid right in and I’m out.”

Mark talked about how he was unable to join the family during the beginning of the trip as he was battling COVID-19, but he joined them a few days into the vacation.

He said, “I was able to go down a few days later when I got two negative tests and I was able to see them. They were like, ‘What are you doing here? Are you sure it’s OK?’ I still had a little bit of a cough and stuff like that, so they didn’t really want me there.”
