Amy Schumer Cancels Performance at Netflix is a Joke Festival After Testing Positive for COVID-19

Just hours ahead of her scheduled performance at the 2022 Netflix is a Joke Festival on Saturday (May 7), the 40-year-old comedian and actress revealed that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

“I am sad to say I have to cancel my show in LA tonight. I am the first woman to ever get COVID,” Amy shared in a video shared on Instagram. “I tested positive for COVID-19 about an hour ago, so yeah, please, I don’t know [what to say], but at least my hair looks good.”

In a second video, Amy joked that she sounds Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes with a much deeper voice due to COVID, while isolating away from her family.

The night before, Amy took to the stage for a performance during her comedy tour, where she revealed another 2022 Oscars joke she wasn’t allowed to say.
