Dorit Kemsley Details Terrifying Home Robbery in 'RHOBH' Premiere, Says She Thought She Was 'Going to Die'

Dorit Kemsley is opening up about her traumatic home invasion.

Back in October, two male intruders broke into Dorit‘s home in Encino, Calif. in the middle of the night while she and her two kids – son Jagger, 8, and daughter Phoenix, 6 – were sleeping. Her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, was in London at the time.

The men held Dorit at gunpoint and stole nearly $1 million worth of valuables.

During the premiere, which showed security footage of the invasion, Dorit broke down while recounting the break-in to her friends.

Dorit and her kids had just returned home after a trip to London and while the kids usually sleep in her bed when PK is out of town, she moved her daughter to her own room.

A little while later after getting into her bed alone, Dorit heard commotion in her house, and at first thought it was her kids.

“All the sudden, I hear the door open. And I thought [it was] my kids. And then, I don’t see them,” Dorit recalled. “So I get out of my bed and that’s when I saw not a little person but a big person. When he saw me, he panicked. And he charged at me, grabbed me, put me down [and said], ‘Get down on the f–king ground. I’m going to f–king kill you.’”

Dorit then said that one of the intruders put a gun to her head as she was hunched over and sobbing to them, “Please, please. I have little babies. Please, I’m a mother. Please, I beg of you. My kids need me.”

“I was begging and begging and the other guy’s going, ‘Just f–king kill her! Just f–king kill her!’” she added.

One of the intruders then told Dorit to take them to her valuables, and she tried to stay “very, very calm” while pleading with the men to not let her kids see what was happening.

“All I could think in my head was, I have to do anything to save these kids,” Dorit said through tears in a confessional. “They need their mommy. Don’t hurt them. Don’t hurt me.”

Dorit later told her friends that she didn’t think she was going to make it out alive, saying, “I thought, This is it. I’m going to die. He’s going to pull the trigger. And then I envisioned them killing me and then going and killing my kids. I have to figure out a way to move on.”

After about 20 minutes, Dorit told the intruders to “get out now” while they still had a chance, since they already “took a lot.”

Before they left, Dorit begged the intruders to not take her phone.

While leaving the room, the intruders told Dorit to count to 40, so that they could escape, and that they would leave her phone at the gate, which they did.

Once they left, Dorit got her phone and called the police, who were at her house until 4 in the morning.

“I will always thank God for protecting me and the kids. I don’t care about the material stuff,” Dorit said in a confessional. “I don’t care. I never will.”

In an interview from earlier this year, Dorit explained why she decided to stay on RHOBH after the robbery.
