Here's Why Lea Michele Didn't Star in 'Funny Girl' on Broadway in the Past

Lea Michele is rumored to be the actress who will replace Beanie Feldstein in the Broadway production of Funny Girl, years after it was first rumored that she would play Fanny Brice.

The 35-year-old actress has essentially manifested the role of Fanny throughout her career after singing many songs from Funny Girl on her show Glee and in her solo concerts.

Lea was rumored to lead a revival back in 2011, but the role went to Lauren Ambrose. The production was then scrapped and never ended up happening.

So, why didn’t Lea get the role last time?
