Here’s a summary of the upcoming movie: adult Ralphie “returns to the house on Cleveland Street to deliver his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had growing up. With the same attention-to-real-life tone of the first, Ralphie reconnects with childhood friends, reconciles the passing of his Old Man and sows the seeds for the origins of the beloved holiday classic.”

Original film stars Ian Petrella, Zack Ward, Scott Schwartz and R.D. Robb will also be part of the movie.

New additions to the franchise include Erinn Hayes as Ralphie’s wife, River Drosche and Julianna Layne as their son and daughter, and Julie Hagerty, who is reportedly playing Ralphie’s mom.

A Christmas Story Christmas is set to premiere on November 17 on HBO Max.
