Dua Lipa wants you to know that she has no intention of performing in Qatar at the moment.

The 27-year-old “Don’t Start Now” superstar took to her Instagram story to address the rumor that she will perform at the opening ceremony of the World Cup, which is taking place in Qatar.

She made it very clear that the rumor is not based in facts.

“There is currently a lot of speculation that I will be performing at the opening ceremony of the world cup in Qatar,” she wrote. “I will not be performing and nor have I ever been involved in any negotiation to perform.”

Dua also alluded to why she would not want to perform or travel to the country.

“I look forward to visiting Qatar when it has fulfilled all the human rights pledges it made when it won the right to host the World Cup,” she added.
