Taylor Lautner Shares Funny Reason He Changed Into Velvet Pants for His Wedding Reception

Taylor Lautner pulled off a costume change for his wedding reception after tying the knot with Tay Dome.

If you missed it, the 30-year-old Twilight star exchanged vows with his 24-year-old wife last Friday (November 11).

In photos, you might have noticed that he was wearing velvet pants at the reception but more standard suit pants during the ceremony. It turns out that there was a good reason for that.

He told People that his change was partly to enable him to dance the night away without worrying about ruining his pants.

“Tay and I had discussed doing a fun party-look change for wedding day, but the final straw for me personally was a couple months ago we attended our friend’s wedding and at the dance party portion I busted out some flips and splits and ended up absolutely shredding my suit pants. And I was so upset because I loved that suit,” he explained.

“So I was like, ‘Alright, we’re definitely doing a change because I don’t want to split my Dolce & Gabbana suit,’” he recalled.
