The 2012 American military sci-fi action film was loosely based on the board game of the same name, directed by Peter Berg. In the movie, the crews of a small group of warships are forced to battle against a naval fleet of extraterrestrial origin in order to thwart their destructive goals. Rihanna played Cryptologic technician Second Class Cora Raikes, on USS John Paul Jones. The film was not well-received, with Rihanna winning Worst Supporting Actress at the Golden Raspberry Awards.
