'Warrior Nun' Showrunner Encourages Fans to Keep Fighting For Future of Show After Netflix Cancellation

Warrior Nun might be cancelled at Netflix. However, showrunner Simon Davis Barry hasn’t given up hope that the series might have a future somewhere else.

Netflix announced that it would not be ordering a third season for the series, which stars Alba Baptista, earlier this month.

The show charts the adventures of Ava Silva (Baptista), who is recruited to join an ancient order. Kristina Tonteri-Young, Lorena Andrea and Toya Turner also appear on the cast list.

Despite the bad news, Simon took to social media make it clear that he is still fighting for the show.

“Still in the fight,” the showrunner tweeted alongside a gif of Captain America’s iconic line “I can do this all day.”

He included the hashtag #SaveWarriorNun in the tweet. It’s not the first time that he has made that call.

“Thank you for standing up and fighting for #WarriorNun – #SaveWarrionNun In this life or the next,” Simon tweeted earlier this month.

While Warrior Nun is done at Netflix, fans have been able to convince the streamer to wrap up beloved series like Sense8 in the past. ComicBook.com noted that other shows have continued elsewhere with the platform’s blessing.

It’s possible that this could happen to Warrior Nun, which has a fan following and is beloved to many.
