Michelle Obama Shares New Update About Daughters Sasha & Malia: 'They've Got Each Others' Backs'

Michelle Obama recently opened up and shared a new update about her two daughters, Sasha and Malia Obama.

During her recent appearance on Today, the former First Lady revealed that the sisters are actually sharing a place in California.

“We were going to take them to dinner,” Michelle recalled of visiting her daughters with husband, Barack Obama. “And they said, ‘Why don’t you come over to our spot for cocktails?’ And we were like, ‘OK let’s see what this is going to be like.’”

She also remembered that during the visit, Sasha and Malia wanted them to use coasters for the drinks they had made her and Barack.

“I’m like, ‘You never used a coaster in my house.’ So now when it’s your stuff, you want to take care of it?” Michelle joked.

That being said though, Michelle revealed that seeing them close now is “what a mother wants” to see.

“[There was] a period of time when they couldn’t stand each other, [but seeing them] in that place where they’re one another’s support systems and they’ve got each other’s backs, it’s the thing that a mother would want,” she said.

Just recently, Michelle opened up about her struggles with anxiety.
