Ryan Seacrest Claims Andy Cohen Wouldn't Acknowledge Him on New Year's Eve, Kelly Ripa Says Otherwise

A little shade from Ryan Seacrest this morning? On Live! with Kelly & Ryan, Ryan spoke about his hosting gig for ABC’s New Year’s Eve celebration, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

You may know that Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen co-host CNN’s celebration, which takes place just a few feet away from Ryan‘s gig as they’re all in Times Square in New York City.

Well, Ryan was relaying a version of events that went down on December 31 while he was hosting the show.

“It was funny because my big stage was right in front of Anderson and Andy,” Ryan shared. “When I was not working, I was trying to get their attention.”

“I thought maybe I was in the [CNN camera] shot,” he added. “I just wanted to wave and say hi. They have a great show. And Anderson, the best. He turns around and he says, ‘Have a good show.’ Class. Class. Andy did not turn around.”

Kelly Ripa, his Live! co-host, quickly interjected, “That’s not true. He said he was trying to get your attention.”

“Really?” Ryan responded. “Honestly…we’re within 10 feet of each other doing the show.”

“Usually, ABC and CNN go to commercial at the same time. This year, they did not which was enormously helpful,” Kelly said, adding that she changed channels to watch both specials simultaneously.

Kelly is friends with Andy, Anderson, and Ryan. Ryan and Andy had a little issue from New Year’s Eve last year that Ryan just addressed last week.
