The Real Reason Why 'House of the Dragon' Showrunner Miguel Sapochnik Exited the Show Revealed & Things Allegedly Got Really Heated at HBO

House of the Dragon showrunner with wife Alexis Raben

The real reason behind the exit has been revealed…

A report has emerged from Puck News suggesting that an issue involving HBO and his wife, Alexis Raben, caused the rift!

Alexis actually had a role in season one of House of the Dragon, portraying Queen Alicent’s maid Talya. She also was credited as a producer in some episodes in the first season.

Puck reports that Miguel suddenly exited the series “after a protracted standoff over his wife and her involvement in the show.”

Apparently, Miguel wanted Alexis to join his and Ryan Condal’s producing team for season two and HBO allegedly denied that request over an apparent lack of experience on her part.

Allegedly, HBO eventually had to even bring in a mediator to try and smooth things over after it got to a very heated level, but ultimately, Miguel decided to leave alongside his wife.

Meanwhile, did you see that HBO and HBO Max canceled 15 TV shows in 2022 alone!?
