How Ticketmaster is Ensuring Beyonce's 'Renaissance World Tour' Pre-Sale Will Go More Smoothly Than Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour'

Beyonce sent the industry into a panic when she finally announced plans to hit the road on tour later this year.

However, fans have been most worried about securing tickets to the long-awaited Renaissance World Tour off Ticketmaster after Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour pre-sale debacle.

If you forgot, the pre-sale event for Taylor‘s tour was so problematic that the general on-sale event was cancelled. Here’s a helpful timeline breaking it all down.

Fan concerns might be justified. However, Ticketmaster learned from their mistakes and is taking steps to make the experience smoother for the Renaissance World Tour.

Ticketmaster shared a blog post letting concerned members of the Bey Hive know how the pre-sale events would go.

For starters, Beyonce‘s first pre-sale for North American dates of the show will only be available to Verified Fans, which fans have to register to become. The company is taking steps to ensure that only real people are able to sign up as Verified Fans, hoping to eliminate any bots trying to sneak through.

Any purchaser who has “been tied to irregular behaviors that could be a sign of a professional seller” trying to snatch up tickets for re-sale (a problem that plagued Taylor‘s events) will also be kicked off.

Since Taylor‘s pre-sale event was so heavily attended that it overwhelmed the Ticketmaster website, the company is staggering registration. That way, there will hopefully be less of a crush all at once.

One thing to keep in mind is that registering to become a Verified Fan will not guarantee you access to the pre-sale. We hope that everyone who wants to make a show is able to grab a ticket!
