John Legend Shares How He Gives Chrissy Teigen a 'Break' After Welcoming Daughter Esti

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are enjoying a day out.

The 37-year-old cookbook author and the 44-year-old entertainer were all smiles as they stepped out to run a few errands together on Wednesday (February 8) in West Hollywood, Calif.

For their outing, Chrissy wore a gray cardigan and ripped jeans while John wore a black and brown hoodie paired with black jeans.

In a new interview, John shared how he tries to be as hands-on as possible after Chrissy gave birth to their daughter Esti last month.

“Obviously I can’t breastfeed her, so I help feed when we use the bottle,” John shared with People. “I’m happy to change diapers. I’m good at burping her, too.”

“I just started singing to her a little bit,” John added. “Chrissy’s good at lullabies, too. I try to help as much as I can, you know, to give Chrissy a break.”

Also in the interview, John shared how kids Luna, 6, and Miles, 4, are adjusting to having a new baby sister.

“Our older kids are really into being older siblings, which we weren’t sure about,” John admitted. “It seemed like they might be jealous when Chrissy was pregnant. But since Esti’s been born, they’ve been really loving and wanting to hold her and feed her — just wanting to be good siblings.”

John also recently revealed the special meaning behind Esti‘s name!
