'RuPaul's Drag Race' Announces Return to 90-Minute Episodes Amid Fan Backlash & Petitions

The RuPaul’s Drag Race community won!

When Season 15 of the hit drag reality TV competition series made the switch to MTV this year, fans were dismayed to learn that the show was being cut down to an hour, as opposed to the usual 90-minute format of previous seasons.

Amid reports that the shortened episodes were partially done to promote the ill-received Real Friends of WeHo, fans began signing petitions – one with over 35,000 signatures – and rallying against MTV and RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s production company World Of Wonder, demanding that the episodes are restored to regular length.

As of Thursday (February 9), the fans got their wish!
