Lana Del Rey Reveals What She Calls Billie Eilish, Why It Felt Right to Collab With Taylor Swift & More in 'Billboard' Interview

On what feels like work as opposed to being creative

The new album will be Lana’s third since 2021. That year she dropped both Chemtrails over the Country Club and Blue Banisters. Although she’s put out so much music, she noted that it didn’t feel like work and explained what did take more out of her.

“I think it might look like that,” she said when asked if she was at her most creative.

“It’s funny because I keep telling people, ‘I haven’t worked in three years,’ but really I just haven’t done shows in three years. As soon as I start getting ready for a show, that’s when it feels like work,” she explained.
