Woody Harrelson Goes on Anti-Vax Conspiracy Rant During 'SNL' Monologue

Woody Harrelson is using his Saturday Night Live hosting gig to espouse conspiracy theories about vaccines.

The 61-year-old star hosted the show for the fifth time over the weekend, and his thinly veiled commentary addressing COVID vaccines immediately made the rounds online shortly after his monologue ended.

He described himself as a “redneck hippie” who considered himself “purple” in his politics.

He then discussed a script he read in 2019 after the last time he hosted the show, while also discussing his penchant for weed, and spending seven months without alcohol last yea, “and five glorious months.”

“So the movie goes like this,” he said.

“The biggest drug cartels in the world get together and buy up all the media and all the politicians and force all the people in the world to stay locked in their homes. And people can only come out if they take the cartel’s drugs and keep taking them over and over,” he said.

“I threw the script away. I mean, who was going to believe that crazy idea? Being forced to do drugs? I do that voluntarily all day long.”

It’s not the first time he’s done this: he also shared conspiracy theories about 5G’s alleged involvement in the pandemic.
