Michael Schumacher‘s family is moving ahead and shared their plans to sue a German magazine over a recently published article with the former F1 star.

According to BBC Sport, the German magazine posted an article on April 15 along with a photo of Michael on its front cover.

“Michael Schumacher, the first interview” the cover read.

Die Aktuelle wrote within the article that the quotes “sounded deceptively real”, and then at the end of the article, revealed that it was all generated by AI.

ESPN also detailed that the magazine claimed that the interview had actual answers from Michael, now 54, and had “no meagre, nebulous half-sentences from friends.”

The publishers of the magazine told BBC Sport they are not commenting on the article or forthcoming lawsuit.

Following his skiing accident, Michael has retreated from public life, as he suffered a brain injury.

Ahead of the upcoming race weekend on April 30, find out how the current scoring system works.
