Here's Why 'Live! with Kelly & Mark' Has Had 2 Pre-Recorded Episodes Since April 17

Fans have noticed that since Mark Consuelos took on co-hosting duties on Live With Kelly & Mark opposite his wife, Kelly Ripa, 2 of the episodes have been pre-recorded.

If you don’t know, Ryan Seacrest‘s last show for Live! with Kelly & Ryan aired on April 14 and Mark‘s first show took place that Monday, April 17,

The April 17, 18, and 19 broadcasts were all live, but viewers saw a pre-recorded message appear on the April 20 and 21st broadcasts.

Now, a source is revealing the reason why.

A source told EW that Live! usually is pre-recorded on Fridays, but when the co-hosts schedules are constantly fluctuating, that may change. For instance, Kelly is currently filming episodes for her game show, Generation Gap. Basically, the source said that the hosts are “busy people.”
