Kim Zolciak & Kroy Biermann Split, Divorce Documents Reveal When & Why Amid News They Owe IRS Over $1 Million

Kim Zolciak and her husband, former NFL player Kroy Biermann, are splitting up.

The 44-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star and 37-year-old athlete were married for 11 years and share four children.

The timing of this news is interesting based on the other news that broke about them today.

According to TMZ, the couple owe the IRS a lot of money in back taxes from 2013, 2017, and 2018, and in addition, they owe Georgia money from their 2018 tax returns. In total, they allegedly owe the IRS $1.1 million and Georgia $15,000.

In addition, TMZ got a hold of the divorce documents, which revealed the date of separation as April 30, 2023.

She listed the reason for their divorce as the relationship being “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”

She wants spousal support from him, wants joint legal custody of their kids (and primary physical custody of them as well), plus, she wants to restore “Zolciak” as her last name.
