Trevor was a former host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show from 2015 to 2022. He hosted the last three Grammy awards as well as the 2022 White House Correspondents Dinner.

“I’ve always been somebody who enjoys trying new things and exploring different ways to express what I do,” Trevor said. “I think this is going to be a really exciting opportunity to create a little more of what I’ve always created — and a lot more of what I haven’t created before.”

His new podcast will blend, “signature humor and razor-sharp wit with his global perspective to deliver a unique take on the hottest and most captivating topics of the moment.”

Trevor noted the benefits of podcasting versus television when announcing the deal. He said it “just gives me an opportunity to expand a little bit more on some of the elements that television doesn’t necessarily allow you to as much — which is long form,” he said. Podcasting is not “restricted by the blocks of TV time as they’re dictated by ads,” he said.

“I can be anywhere in the world creating an episode,” Trevor said of the freedom podcasting gives him.

Last week, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided not to continue their deal with Spotify, which housed Meghan‘s Archetypes podcast.
