Here's What Happened In Henry Cavill's Final Scene on 'The Witcher' (SPOILERS)

WARNING: SPOILERS ARE AHEAD FOR HENRY CAVILL’S FINAL APPEARANCE ON ‘THE WITCHER’. DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!

The final six episodes of The Witcher just debuted on Netflix, and with them comes just how Henry Cavill exited the series.

Henry, who has played Geralt in the fantasy series since the beginning, decided to step away from the series after three seasons in.

In a report, it was shared that his deal with Netflix was “short term” and this was the right time to exit the show and move onto other projects. Liam Hemsworth is set to take over the role in season four.

So, what happened in Henry‘s final scenes on The Witcher? [SPOILER WARNING!]

Head inside to see what happened, and remember, there are spoilers in here!

Here’s how Henry left The Witcher:

In the final episode, Geralt is recovering from an intense battle at Aretuza, as he attempted to save Ciri, as she became so popular that she was coveted by many groups and armies for her magical abilities. Following the battle, Geralt was severely wounded.

While Ciri found herself in another world entirely, Geralt was given the news that Ciri was taken captive by sorcerer Vilgefortz and the Nilfgaardian empire.

Geralt was half healed by a group of dryads and half healed by Yennefer. After she left, he found the strength to attempt to rescue Ciri from Vilgefortz, which actually isn’t the case.

After intervening to defend a young girl who was being mistreated by a group of guards, he’s seen with Jaskier and another ally, Milva, still on a mission to save Ciri.

Henry‘s final scene is of him walking into the unknown.

“We have spent this entire season building up that Geralt, Yen, and Ciri are finally a family,” showrunner Lauren Hissrich shared in the making-of special on the series of Geralt’s mission and the final scenes. “They realize they not only need each other, but they want to be together, they choose to be a family. And when that explodes, it’s the fact that Geralt has lost these two people that he so clearly loves so deeply. That’s what causes him to give up on his neutrality, because he will do anything to get them back.”

The Witcher season three is streaming now on Netflix.
