During the interview, Chris confirmed to Jimmy Kimmel that he auditioned for Captain America. This is something that a casting director previously revealed.

According to NME, casting director Sarah Evans confirmed that Chris was in the running to play the part that was immortalized by Chris Evans. Fun fact: They also confirmed that the late Chadwick Boseman auditioned to play Drax before going on to star in Black Panther.
