Ron Cephas Jones, the star of shows such as This Is Us and Truth Be Told, has sadly died at the age of 66.

“Beloved and award-winning actor Ron Cephas Jones has passed away at the age of 66 due to a long-standing pulmonary issue,” a representative for the Emmy winning actor told the outlet.

The statement continued, praising Ron for the legacy he left behind. “Throughout the course of his career, his warmth, beauty, generosity, kindness and heart were felt by anyone who had the good fortune of knowing him,” it read.

“Ron’s inner-beauty and soul was evident to the huge audience from his multi-Emmy award winning performance on This is Us. He is survived by his daughter Jasmine Cephas Jones.”

Jasmine and Ron walked the red carpet together at the premiere of her project Blindspotting in 2021. They also attended the Tony Awards that year.
