Kim Cattrall makes her triumphant return to the Sex of the City universe today with her cameo in the season 2 finale of And Just Like That.

If you don’t know, Kim portrayed Samantha Jones in the hit HBO series, but opted not to return for the reboot series.

There was a lot that publicly happened between Kim and Sarah Jessica, and we’re breaking it down for you here.

Here’s some backstory: In 2017, Kim revealed that she was never friends with her co-stars and the relationships on set felt “toxic.” She also revealed she wouldn’t do a third film with them. Then, months later in early 2018, Kim‘s brother suddenly passed away and Sarah Jessica wrote a comment on Kim‘s Instagram post, expressing her condolences and seemingly, mending their broken relationship. Later on, Kim suddenly lashed out at SJP for “exploiting” her family’s tragedy. And Just Like That season 1 ended up airing in 2022 without Kim Cattrall‘s involvement.
