Russell Brand Accused of Rape, Sexual Assault & Emotional Abuse by Four Different Women

Russell Brand is facing some very serious allegations.

On Saturday (September 16), the 48-year-old comedian was accused of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse by four different women over a seven-year period from 2006 to 2013.

In a joint investigation by The Sunday Times, The Times, and Channel 4′s Dispatch, the four women claim the sexual assaults took place while he was a presenter for BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4, and continued when he became an actor in Hollywood.

One woman alleged that Russell raped her during their second meeting at his home in Los Angeles on July 1, 2012, after having consensual sex one month prior. The outlets cited that medical records show that the woman was treated at a rape crisis center that same day.

Hours after the alleged incident, the woman claimed that she texted Russell, “When a girl say[s] NO it means no.” Russell then allegedly responded, “Very sorry.” Screenshots of the alleged conversation were published in the report.

Russell – who was married to Katy Perry from 2010 to 2012 – allegedly did not wear a condom when he committed the rape.

A second woman claims that she was 16 years when she met Russell, then 31, in 2006 while out shopping in London. During their outing, the woman claims that Russell reached into her bag, pulled out a dress and said, “You’re going to wear this on our date this week.”

The woman claims that she then told her mother about Russell, and her mom allegedly insisted that she tell Russell her age.

She claims that she told Russell that she was 16, but alleges that he didn’t care. During their first date, the woman claims that Russell immediately asked her to confirm her age, and he allegedly said, “I don’t give a f–k if you’re 12 … I need to know where I stand legally.”

The woman claims that she and Russell dated for approximately three months and says that while he was “very charming” at the beginning of the alleged relationship, Russell allegedly became abusive and controlling. She claims that he once “forced his penis down her throat, making her choke.”

A third woman claims that Russell threatened her with legal action if she told anyone that he had sexually assaulted her while they worked together in Los Angeles in 2013.

The fourth and final woman is Russell‘s ex-girlfriend Jordan Martin, who alleges that he sexually assaulted and physically and emotionally abused her. She previously shared her allegations in her 2014 book kNot: Entanglement with a Celebrity.

Before the exposé was made public, Russell released a video in which he denied the “very, very serious criminal allegations” against him.
