Russell Brand Questions Whether He's Being 'Silenced' by Legacy Media Amid Rape & Assault Allegations

Russell Brand is speaking out.

The 48-year-old comedian returned to conservative video platform Rumble following multiple allegations of assault, which were revealed in a bombshell story from Channel 4, Sunday Times and The Times.

During his Stay Free series return, Russell questioned whether he was being “silenced” by “legacy media,” as he’s denied all the allegations.

On his Rumble show, Russell also said it was “hard for me to be objective” about the mainstream media “given events of the last week,” but thanked his followers for questioning the information they had received.

The show streamed soon after the Metropolitan Police announced an investigation into allegations of sexual offenses in London and elsewhere in the United Kingdom, via Deadline.

YouTube also demonetized Russell‘s channel amid the allegations.

“We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offence, no matter how long ago it was, to contact us,” police said.

He did not address the allegations directly on his Rumble stream, but called out Trusted News Initiative, a partnership between the BBC and major publications including The Washington Post, to fight against disinformation.

“It appears that apparently independent or at least separate news organizations are collaborating — and I hesitate to use this word — conspiring to control global news narratives in some of the most important stories in the world,” he said.

The stream was watched by up to 86,000 people at one point, as he interviewed stand-up comedian Jimmy Dore and thanked him for being a guest on the show.

“It really lifts my spirit at a time where I’m plainly needed it, and I can’t tell you how grateful I am to you,” he said.

Elon Musk expressed disappointment with Russell, but not for the allegations.
