First Look Photos Revealed For Nicole Kidman's New Limited Series Expats

Nicole Kidman has a new limited series coming out and the first stills have been released!

The Academy Award winning actress stars in and executive produces Expats for Prime Video, which is based on the novel “The Expatriates” by Janice Y. K. Lee.

In addition to the first look stills, teaser art and the premiere date were both also revealed.

Here’s a synopsis: Set against the vibrant and tumultuous tapestry of 2014 Hong Kong, Expats centers on three American women—Margaret (Kidman), Hilary, and Mercy—whose lives intersect after a sudden family tragedy. The series interrogates privilege and explores what happens when the line between victimhood and culpability becomes blurred.

Also starring are Sarayu Blue as Hilary, Ji-young Yoo as Mercy, Brian Tee as Margaret’s husband Clarke, and Jack Huston as Hilary’s husband David.

Lulu Wang serves as creator, director, writer and executive producer.

The series premieres January 26, 2024 on Prime Video.

The feature-length penultimate episode is also set to have it’s European premiere screening at the BFI London International Film Festival NEXT Monday (October 9).
