Robert Downey Jr. Confirms He's 'Done' with Marvel Movies
Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed that he won’t be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In a new interview for the SmartLess podcast, the 55-year-old actor said that he is “done” with the franchise.
Co-host Jason Bateman asked him, “I’m assuming that the Marvel thing is at a slower speed now, or are you done with that now?”
“That’s all done,” Robert said. “As far as I’m concerned, I hung up my guns and I’m good to let it go.”
Robert also said, “I also think that Marvel is on this journey now. They’re trying a bunch of other stuff and you know, I’m excited for them to see how all that goes.”
SPOILER ALERT: In the 2019 movie Avengers: Endgame, Robert‘s character Tony Stark/Iron Man was killed in a battle.
