Kelsea Ballerini is stealing the show on the 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards red carpet!
The 30-year-old country star stunned with a sleek and shiny black dress, as she posed for photos and spoke with reporters prior to inaugural event at the Grand Ole Opry House on Thursday (September 28) in Nashville, Tenn.
When asked by Extra about the rumored romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the “Subject to Change” singer responded, “I love Travis. We did SNL together. I love Taylor. We were close for many years. I want happiness for everyone, so vibe!”
It seems like Taylor‘s potential new relationship has Kelsea‘s full support!
Kelsea also commented on her current boyfriend, Chase Stokes, who was not present at Thursday’s People’s Choice Country Awards due to his work schedule.
“He was here for rehearsals. It was his first time at the Opry, so it was fun showing him around when it was much calmer. He’s doing his thing and I’m doing mine.”
When asked if Chase was a country music fan prior to their relationship, Kelsea said, “He grew up in Georgia, so I got me a country boy, don’t worry.”
The singer shared her feelings on her new album Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (For Good), which has allowed her to experiment more as an artist.
“It’s changed my life and it will change the way I make music forever,” Kelsea said “I am just now coming up for air from this last year and starting to need to make music again and I’m like, ‘Okay, well, now I’m happy, how do I keep that sense of, like, honesty in a happy record?’ It’s, like, a really exploratory time to figure that out.”
