Audra McDonald Joins Beauty & The Beast As Singing Wardrobe

Audra McDonald is in final talks to star in the upcoming live-adaptation of Beauty and the Beast!

The 44-year-old actress would take on the role of Garderobe, the singing wardrobe closet.

The film is also starring Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast/Prince, Luke Evans as the villain Gaston, and Josh Gad as Le Fou, Gaston’s loyal sidekick.

If you weren’t aware, production on the film is set to start in May this year. We can’t wait!

Dan Stevens is in negotiations to play the The Beast/Prince in Beauty and the Beast, THR reports!

The 32-year-old The Guest actor will play opposite Emma Watson as Belle and Luke Evans as Gaston.

It was quite the day for Beauty and the Beast casting – Luke was just announced as Gaston earlier and now we have Dan‘s confirmation as The Beast!

Luke Evans to Play Gaston in 'Beauty & the Beast' Opposite Emma Watson!

Luke Evans is in negotiations for the role of Gaston in the upcoming live action version of Beauty and the Beast, Variety reports!

The 35-year-old actor will be playing opposite Emma Watson, who is set to star as Belle.

Luke is no stranger to musicals – he has starred in many West End productions in London, England such as Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf. We know he’ll be able to belt out those Gaston tunes with ease!

No official word has been passed down from Disney just yet.

Disney Planning 'Beauty and the Beast' Live Action Film!

Tale As Old A Time…

Looks like Disney is giving all the fairy tales a new life.

Variety is reporting that the Mouse House has tapped Bill Condon, most known for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn films, to direct a live action movie of Beauty & The Beast.

While no plot details are known at this time, Disney’s animated version of the classic tale by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, grossed over $375 million worldwide, spawned a Broadway play and became one of the few animated pics to receive a best picture Oscar nomination.
