Liam Payne is about to drop his brand new single!

The 24-year-old “Strip That Down” pop sensation confirmed the news on Twitter on Saturday (September 23) that his new single will arrive on October 20. (As some One Direction fans pointed out, yes – it’s the same day as Niall Horan‘s Flicker album release!)

Liam previously talked about the song during a BBC Radio 1 interview – and revealed that it’s girlfriend Cheryl Cole‘s favorite!

“We both like that song. That’s her favorite. That’s been her favorite since the start, so if it turns out to be the best one, she’s gonna say ha-HA!” he explained.

Liam and Cheryl welcomed their baby boy Bear earlier this year.

The 34-year-old Girls Aloud star granted her first TV interview in nearly a year to ITV’s This Morning, which is set to air next week.

In a brief teaser of the interview, set to the sound of her track “Only Human,” Cheryl pokes fun at her Newcastle accent: “Since being a mam…that’s how I say it, sorry!”

Cheryl made her first official public appearance since giving birth at the Game 4 Grenfell charity match over the weekend (September 2) at Loftus Road Stadium in London, England.

The match was put together to help the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire. Marcus even hit the field to play during the game.

Also in attendance at the match was Cheryl Cole who showed off her super toned abs in a crop top and bright, orange pants.

The 23-year-old “Strip That Down” singer posted the photo of himself and his girlfriend, 34, on his Instagram on Thursday (August 24).

He captioned it with a star and some very happy, grateful emojis: “⭐️🙌🏼🙏🏼.”

In the pic, Cheryl flashes a smile as Liam wraps his tattooed arm around her. As an added bonus, he’s also shirtless.

Liam also recently got shirtless while showing off his ripped bod in a workout video.

Liam Payne is all smiles after a meeting in New York City on Wednesday (June 21).

If you haven’t heard, the “Strip It Down” singer is featured on the new Grenfell Charity Single, along with his former band mate, Louis Tomlinson.

Over the weekend, Liam also celebrated his first Father’s Day and got a really cute gift from partner Cheryl.

In one of his Instagram stories this week, he showed off his new necklace — a bear necklace which is covered in crystals.

Liam says in the video, “I have had a great day. I got another Father’s Day present – which is a little bear off Cheryl which I really love.”

Could Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole have secretly tied the knot?!

The 23-year-old former One Direction singer called Cheryl his “wife” in an interview he did at the SiriusXM Studios on Tuesday (May 16) in New York City.

Liam was talking about his love for In-N-Out, a popular burger chain in California. When asked if he moved to Los Angeles just for the burger, he said, “Yeah, exactly! I left my wife and child at home and I was straight out to In-N-Out burger. I’m just kidding.”

Liam Payne admits he didn’t love the idea of naming his son Bear at first.

The 23-year-old former One Direction said that it was girlfriend Cheryl Cole‘s choice and he eventually got on board with it.

“It was an internal battle,” Liam told Total Access radio (via E! News). “I wanted a more traditional name and she wanted a name that was more unusual. The reason she chose Bear was because Bear is a name that when you leave a room, you won’t forget. And I like that.”

He added, “You know what? Now he is Bear. When I look at him, he’s just Bear. At first I wasn’t really having it. I was like, ‘I’m not really sure. I don’t really understand.’ Now I look at him and he’s Bear. You become your name as you get older anyway.”

Liam also revealed that Bear‘s middle name is Grey!
