A 'Grimm' Spinoff Is Coming to NBC!

Grimm is getting a spinoff!

The upcoming series, based on the fantasy drama, is currently in the works at NBC, Variety confirmed on Tuesday (October 16).

The new show “builds off the mythology of the original series and will feature returning fan favorites while also introducing new characters, new dangers and new mysteries.”

Writer and executive producer Melissa Glenn will helm the project.

The original Grimm series ran for six seasons across 120 episodes on NBC, ending in March of 2017. The show is about a homicide detective who discovers he is a descendant of hunters who fight supernatural forces.

NBC’s Grimm will end with the sixth season, TV Line reports.

Season six of the show is set to debut mid-season on Friday (January 6) at 8/7c, and will only have 13 episodes for the last season. NBC trimmed the episode order from 22 to 13 back in April. Each of the previous five seasons contained 22 episodes.

David Giuntoli, Sasha Roiz, Claire Coffee, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner, Bitsie Tulloch, Russell Hornsby and Reggie Lee star in the show.

NBC Renews 'Chicago Fire,' 'Chicago PD,' 'Law & Order: SVU' & More!

NBC has just announced a whole bunch of renewals for new seasons of some of our favorite shows!

Returning next year will be James Spader‘s The Blacklist for Season 3, Grimm for Season 5, Chicago Fire for Season 4, Sophia Bush‘s Chicago P.D. for Season 3, and Mariska Hargitay‘s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for Season 17, Deadline reports.

Missing from the NBC renewal list is The Mysteries of Laura, Constantine and Katherine Heigl‘s State of Affairs, but it is still early and these shows could also be renewed at a later date.

'Revolution' & 'Grimm' Casts Attend Comic-Con Panels!

The actors were joined by their co-stars Giancarlo Esposito, Billy Burke, and JD Pardo at the event.

David Giuntoli and Bitsie Tulloch were in attendance to represent the cast of Grimm that same day, along with their co-stars Bree Turner, Claire Coffee, Sasha Roiz, Silas Weir Mitchell, Russell Hornsby, and Reggie Lee.

FYI: Bitsie is wearing Bionda Castana shoes. David Giuntoli is wearing Levi’s jeans. Bree is carrying an RK New York spiked handbag.
