Harvey Weinstein Recovers from Coronavirus, Gets Released from Prison Quarantine

Harvey Weinstein tested positive for coronavirus while in prison and it’s now being reported that he has recovered from the virus.

The 68-year-old disgraced movie producer had just started his 23-year sentence at the Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo, New York and he was put into a 14-day quarantine.

Now, DailyMail.com reports that Weinstein has survived the virus, much to the surprise of people close to him.

“We lost contact with him and were unable to get in touch with him after he tested positive because he was placed in isolation and under quarantine,” a source told the outlet. “He had a fever and cough. The man is in poor health normally speaking, and has multiple pre-existing conditions. Honestly, I was very concerned. I can’t believe he made it through this. I was definitely thinking this would be the end of him.”

Harvey reportedly believes he contracted coronavirus before he entered the upstate prison facility.

Harvey Weinstein Reportedly Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for the COVID-19 novel coronavirus, according to several reports.

The 68-year-old convicted rapist had just started his 23-year sentence at the Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo, New York and is currently in isolation.

However, Page Six reports that the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision wouldn’t confirm that Harvey is indeed positive for the virus.

They did share that two inmates had the coronavirus, though.

Kate Beckinsale Reveals Her Horrific Harvey Weinstein Story from the 'Serendipity' Premiere in 2001

Kate Beckinsale is opening up about a horrific experience she had while working with disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein on the 2001 movie Serendipity.

In an Instagram post that was published on the same day Harvey was sentenced to 23 years in prison for his crimes, Kate revealed the verbal and emotional abuse that she suffered from him.

Kate posted two photos that were taken at the movie’s New York City premiere in 2001, just weeks after 9/11 happened. She then explained how Harvey called her to his home the next day and yelled at her for her fashion choice at the premiere.

“These photos were taken at the premiere of Serendipity on October 5, 2001. We all refused to go because holding a premiere mere weeks after 9/11 with the city still smoking felt like the most insensitive, tone deaf, disrespectful idea possible,” Kate wrote. “But Harvey insisted. We flew into New York and somehow got through it.”

“The next morning Harvey called me and asked if I would like to bring my less than two year old daughter to his house for a playdate with his similar aged daughter. I said ok. I turned up and he immediately called for his nanny to take the babies to another room to play. I went to go with them and he said ‘No, you wait here,’” she continued.

The Silence Breakers Issue Statement After Harvey Weinstein Sentencing

The Silence Breakers are speaking out.

The group of 24 Harvey Weinstein accusers, made up of women including Ashley Judd, Rosanna Arquette and Rose McGowan, spoke out in a statement issued on Wednesday (March 11) following the sentencing of the disgraced film producer, who will be serving 23 years in prison for criminal sexual acts.

Harvey Weinstein‘s legacy will always be that he’s a convicted rapist. He is going to jail — but no amount of jail time will repair the lives he ruined, the careers he destroyed, or the damage he has caused,” the women said in their statement.

Rose McGowan Calls Out Ben Affleck for Allegedly Not Coming Forward About Harvey Weinstein: 'I Feel Sorry for Him'

Rose McGowan is once again calling out Ben Affleck.

After the Brave author and actress alleged that the Triple Frontier actor did not come forward with the knowledge of Harvey Weinstein allegedly assaulting her at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival, Rose once again called out Ben in a tweet on Wednesday (March 11).

The tweet came in response to a message: “.@EWagmeister I have a daughter on the way, Please don’t praise a man for doing nothing. Continue to raise up those who created the change. #MeToo #TimesUp,” writer and producer Johnathon Schaech wrote in response to a headline from journalist Elizabeth Wagmeister about Ben being on Harvey‘s “red flag list,” which was recently unsealed in court documents. The list contained names of people Harvey was allegedly concerned could be talking to the press about his sexual conduct with women.

“You are right Johnathon. Ben Affleck. I feel sorry for him. It must be so wearying playing a superhero instead of being one. He could have risen. He still can. He was raised at the teat of that toxic intersection Hollywood/Media/Politics. Michael Bay made him shave his teal teeth,” Rose wrote in response.

Here is what Rose claimed about Ben‘s knowledge of the situation with Harvey, and what Harvey‘s lawyers said in response.

Harvey Weinstein Sentenced to 23 Years in Prison

New York Supreme Court Judge James Burke sentenced Harvey Weinstein to 23 years in prison today for his crimes.

Several survivors of Weinstein‘s abuse got up and read statements during the sentencing hearings.

“It scarred me deeply, mentally and emotionally,” Miriam Haley said of her 2006 attack. “What he did not only stripped me of my dignity as a human being and a woman, but it crushed my confidence.”

“I wish I had been able to fight him,” another accuser, Jessica Mann, said. “I want to remind you I told Harvey ‘no’…I thought I would be able to assert my no and reserve the right to my autonomy.”

Weinstein himself gave a statement and said, “I am totally confused. I think men are confused about all of this…this feeling of thousands of men and women who are losing due process, I’m worried about this country.”

“This is not the right atmosphere in the United States of America,” he added.

Last month, Weinstein was found guilty of rape and criminal sexual acts. He was found not guilty of sexual predatory assault. He faced a maximum of 25 years.

Weinstein‘s private emails were recently revealed and the contents of one of them shocked many in Hollywood.
