Jeff Bridges hit Stephen Colbert‘s couch on The Late Show on Thursday night (September 27) and dished about how his real life priest helped him play one in his latest film, Bad Times at the El Royale.

“I had a wonderful experience with a priest in bootcamp, he was a wonderful,” the 68-year-old actor told Stephen. “The first thing this priest says to all of us is that ‘when you’re here, you’re not in the military, you’re in the house of the lord.”

“Dawn Harris was his name, he was the coolest guy and let me play guitar in the different services,” Jeff continued. “He took me to see Jefferson Airplane at the Carousel Ballroom in San Fransisco, can you imagine. Twenty years later, I asked him to marry my wife and myself. He’s very dear to my heart.”

Dakota Johnson stuns on the red carpet as she steps out for the premiere of Bad Times at the El Royale on Saturday night (September 22) at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Calif.

The 28-year-old actress went glam in a stunning pink gown as she attended the premiere alongside co-star Jon Hamm.

Also stepping out for the premiere were fellow co-stars Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Bridges and wife Susan Geston, Cailee Spaeny, and Lewis Pullman.

Dakota Johnson poses alongside Jon Hamm while attending a photo call for their movie Bad Times at the El Royale earlier this month in Lake Tahoe.

The actors were joined by their co-stars Jeff Bridges and Cynthia Erivo, as well as director Drew Goddard.

The movie takes place in Lake Tahoe at the El Royale hotel, where guests can either stay in California or Nevada as the hotel is located on the border of both states.

After the photo call, Cynthia attended a casino night event where she was seen playing roulette with journalist Sheinelle Jones.

Chris Hemsworth is putting his hot body on display for his role in the upcoming movie Bad Times at the El Royale!

The 34-year-old actor is seen going shirtless in two new stills that were just released. Featured in other photos from the upcoming film are co-stars Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Jeff Bridges, and Tony winner Cynthia Erivo.

“First look at Bad Times at the El Royale, in cinemas this October and trailer is coming soon. It was one of the best scripts I’ve ever read and I can’t wait for you all to see it. Written and directed by Drew Goddard (one of the best humans goin round),” Chris wrote on Twitter.
