Netflix‘s new superhero drama, Jupiter’s Legacy, finally has a release date and first look teaser!
Based on the graphic novels by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Jupiter’s Legacy is an epic superhero drama that spans decades and navigates the complex dynamics of family, power, and loyalty.
Here’s an official synopsis: After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world’s first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy. But tensions rise as the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents’ legendary public reputations — and exacting personal standards.
Last week, Armie released a statement after it was revealed he was no longer involved with the film. Armie is embroiled in a controversy where his alleged DMs leaked online and contain graphic content including references to cannibalism.
THR is now reporting that Josh is in talks to replace Armie in the title role. JLo reportedly had a say in who she wanted to join her in the film, with Josh’s name surfacing early on in the search.
Here’s the synopsis: “A couple that gathers their families for a destination wedding even as they get cold feet. If that wasn’t enough, the entire party then gets taken hostage.”
Armie‘s statement about leaving the film is as follows: “I’m not responding to these bullshit claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me.” He added he “cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.”

The number one movie on Netflix right now might surprise you because it’s not a Netflix original and has barely been promoted!
The Lost Husband, an indie film starring Josh Duhamel and Leslie Bibb, is currently the most watched movie or TV show on the streaming service.
The film received a VOD release on April 10 and already had gained a small following of fans, but it’s now become a smash hit following its Netflix release on August 10.
Here is the full synopsis: “After the sudden death of her husband, Libby (Bibb) is forced to move in with her hypercritical mother. Out of the blue, her estranged Aunt Jean offers an escape: a job and a place to live on her farm in the Texas Hill Country. Before she can talk herself out of it, Libby is packing the minivan, grabbing the kids, and hitting the road. Life on Aunt Jean’s goat farm is more wonderful and more mysterious than Libby could have imagined. Beyond the animals and the strenuous work, there is quiet — deep, country quiet. But there is also a shaggy, gruff farm manager (Duhamel) with a tragic home life, a feed-store clerk who claims she can contact her husband ‘on the other side,’ and the eccentric aunt she never really knew but who turns out to be exactly who she needs.”
Back in April, Josh said how it was perfect to release the movie during the quarantine.
“This is the perfect time for a movie like this to come out because people are at home watching. You know? These are things that they may really want to dive into. People are sort of stuck at home right now, so they either need to read or watch something and they’re trying to keep themselves occupied. I think any sort of entertainment is helpful,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
Josh Duhamel made a special appearance on the latest episode of Holey Moley to cheer on his friend Tanner Beard, who was one of the contestants.
Tanner is the co-founder and president of the Mammoth Film Festival and he is playing on behalf of Mammoth Media Institute. The grand prize at the end of the season is $250,000!
At the end of the episode, Tanner was victorious and he’ll be heading to the grand finale.
Josh was joined in the crowd by his girlfriend Audra Mari and they were seen in matching fur coats. You can watch a clip of them in the crowd below!
