Julia Stiles and her husband Preston J. Cook have welcomed their first child into the world!

The 36-year-old actress has revealed that she gave birth to Strummer Newcomb Cook on Friday, October 20.

“Strummer Newcomb Cook, born October 20, 2017. Thanks and ever thanks to the extraordinary Doctors, Nurses and staff at Mount Sinai for helping bring this utter joy into our lives. ❤️✨,” Julia wrote on Instagram.

Julia posted a photo of Strummer‘s tiny hand and added, “Hello, World!”

Julia and Preston got married over Labor Day weekend and she jokingly said they had a “shotgun wedding.”

Julia Stiles revealed she married Preston J. Cook and couldn’t help but make a joke in the process!

The 36-year-old actress is expecting her first child next month with her new hubby, and posted a photo of her baby bump in her wedding gown with the caption, “Who doesn’t love a shotgun wedding?”

If you don’t know, a shotgun marriage is usually one that happens in a hurry because of a pregnancy.

E! News reports that the pair got married earlier this month on a beach in Seattle, Washington with just two friends present.

The 31-year-old actress and her Lenny co-founder Jennifer Konner stepped out at the second anniversary party on Friday night (September 15) at The Jane Hotel in New York City.

They were joined at the event by Malin Ackerman, her boyfriend Jack Donnelly, Zosia Mammet, Rosie Perez, Christian Siriano, Julia Stiles, Emily Robinson and Andreja Pejic.

After the event, Lena took to her Twitter to express how much she enjoyed the party.

“The @lennyletter 2nd anniversary party, thrown with @colehaan, was the most fun I’ve had at a party maybe ever? 4 hours, personal record!” Lena wrote.

She later added, “Thank you @colehaan for bringing all our loved ones together for a little Bat Mitzvah for our little newsletter. I’m a very happy girl.”

Sounds like a successful anniversary party!

Julia was joined at the event by co-star Adrian Lester. Earlier in the day she wore a different dress for a stop at ITV Studios for an interview.
